Peter Ekholm has joined Begner as Technical Manager. He most recently comes from SSAB, where he worked for 32 years in process engineering and development.
We asked Peter a few questions after his first weeks with us
Hi Peter! How has your first time at Begner been so far?
The first days have been incredibly exciting, with a lot of new things to get into. I’m looking forward to starting to deliver real value and meeting customers and projects.
Can you briefly tell us about your background and previous experience?
I come from SSAB, where I spent 32 years and had a wide range of assignments, including roles as a process engineer and developer. I have worked across most parts of the plant as well as at SSAB’s facility in Italy.
What attracted you to Begner?
I was ready to try new challenges. I have had a lot of contact with Begner and see it as a development-oriented organization, which appealed to me.
What do you find most motivating in your work?
I enjoy solving problems and contributing to customer satisfaction. I’m a social person and like working with different people and machines.
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
I train regularly. During 2025, my wife and I competed in Hyrox.
A busy start
From the outset, Peter has been involved in finalizing our new test center and workshop prior to the grand opening.
He has been involved in the commissioning of arc80X and in developing our additive manufacturing and on-demand production capabilities.
With Peter’s experience, we further strengthen our technical expertise and look forward to developing the business together.
